Biographical Information[edit]
Jaden Agassi has pitched for the German national team.
The son of tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf [1], he opted for baseball rather than following in their footsteps on the court. He missed most of his high school career due to injury (having Tommy John surgery) and a season cancelled due to COVID-19. [2]) He was 1-1 with a save and a 6.16 ERA as a college freshman at USC and 3-2 with a 4.34 ERA as a sophomore. He slipped to 1-1, 9.70 as a junior.
As his mother is German, he was able to represent Germany in the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in early 2025. His first appearance was rocky; relieving Luke Sommer with a scoreless tie in the 4th against Brazil, he walked Gabriel Gomes and allowed a Lucas Ramirez hit. He threw a wild pitch to let in a run walked Leonardo Reginatto then got Dante Bichette Jr. to hit into a force. Lucas Rojo doubled in one and Victor Mascai doubled in a pair. After a bunt by Gabriel Do Carmo, he was replaced by Jordan Martinson. He took the loss to Enzo Sawayama. His other game was a bit better, as he went 1 2/3 IP against Colombia, succeeding Sven Schüller and yielding two runs in 1 2/3 IP before Joe Cedano De Leon relieved. [3]
