Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Jacob Heyward was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 38th round of the 2013 amateur draft. Despite his older brother Jason being in his fourth season as a starting outfielder for the Braves, Jacob went on to college at the University of Miami, where he made the All_Tournament_Team of the 2015_College_World_Series.

He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 18th round of the 2016 amateur draft and played in their system through 2022. He reached AAA for 2 games in 2018 and 2 more in 2019. Overall he played in 556 games over six seasons, slashing .230/.348/.386 with 57 HRs and 43 SBs.

He immediately became a manager in the Giants' minor league system in 2023, with the ACL Giants Orange.
