Biographical Information[edit]

Horace Speed played three years in the major leagues. He was the fifth outfielder for the Cleveland Indians in 1978, the year he had most of his playing time.

He also played for the Tacoma Tugs, Richmond Braves, and Savannah Braves. In all, he spent parts of six seasons at the AAA level. He lived up to his surname, stealing 35 bags for the Phoenix Giants in 1977.
