Biographical Information[edit]

Hiroya Yamamura has been an umpire in Nippon Pro Baseball. His father Tatsuya Yamamura was also a player and umpire in the NPB.

Nako signed with the Tokushima Indigo Socks in 2010, and he announced his retirement in 2011 because of severe knee injury. He became an umpire in the Central League in 2012. He and his father was the first pair of father-son umpire in NPB history, and he worked the 2024 NPB All-Star Games.
