Biographical Information

Hiroshi Tsuchiya was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the first round of the 1967 NPB draft, but he only pitched 1 game for the big club in his first three seasons. His ERA was 4.37 in 12 games in 1971, and he went 3-4 with a 3.70 ERA in 1972. The Dragons then traded him with Norihiro Mizutani to the Lotte Orions for Masao Sato and Naoya Okuda, but he only had three appearances for the top team before he announced his retirement in 1975.
