Biographical Information[edit]
Hiroki Nakazawa had a brief career in Nippon Pro Baseball
Nakazawa represented Japan in the 2006 World University Baseball Championship, 2008 Haarlem Baseball Week (.294/.400/.353) and 2008 World University Baseball Championship (playing one game and not batting). He hit .341 with 5 Best Nine awards in his college career, and his 117 career hits were the second most in Chiba Prefecture University Baseball League history. Nakazawa was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 6th round the 2008 NPB draft, but he spent his first three seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. The Giants then traded him with Norihito Kaneto to the Rakuten Golden Eagles for Fuminori Yokogawa and Suguru Ino. Nakazawa was 2-for-8 in 2013, but he never reached the big club again before he announced his retirement in 2014.
