Biographical Information

Hideki Mizusawa was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 4th round of the 1987 NPB draft, but he never reached the big club before he announced his retirement in 1991. He was sent to the Gate City Pioneers in 1990, and he went 2-3 with a 7.44 ERA there. He later became a scout, and he signed a pair of future Major Leaguers, Yusei Kikuchi and Shogo Akiyama. He also signed Toru Hosokawa, Haruse Narita, Takayuki Kishi, Masaya Kuroda, Sou Satoh, Shuta Tonosaki, Shinsaburo Tawata, Hotaka Yamakawa, Ryusei Sato‎ and Shinya Sugai.
