Biographical Information

Haru Sakai has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Sakai represented Japan in the 2024 U-18 Asian Baseball Championship, going 1-1 with a 1.75. He beat Po-Chun Lin of champion Taiwan then lost to South Korea's Woo-joo Jeong. Japan won Silver. He was drafted by the Chiba Lotte Marines in the 4th round of the 2024 NPB draft; the scout was Yoichi Fukuzawa. He pitched 3 shutout innings in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2025, and he also pitched one game for the top team.
