Biographical Information[edit]

George Stueland pitched four seasons for the Chicago Cubs (1921-1923 and 1925). In 1922 he went 9-4.

The Cubs of that era were mostly over .500 but the highest they finished was fourth. Another pitcher on the staff at the time was Pete Alexander, and Gabby Hartnett came up as a rookie in 1922.

Stueland was not in the majors in 1924, pitching instead for Seattle and going 18-13. After his last stint in the majors, he pitched in the American Association and the Western League.
