Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Garrett Stallings was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 5th round of the 2019 amateur draft out of the University of Tennessee. However, he never played in the Angels' system and was with the Milwaukee Brewers by the time he reached the majors in July of 2026.

He did sign with the Angels shortly after having been drafted, but did not get into any minor league games that season, then was forced into inaction in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the minor leagues. On December 2, 2020, he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles along with P Jean Pinto in return for SS José Iglesias. He thus made his pro debut with the Aberdeen Iron Birds in 2021 and went 10-6, 4.67 between Aberdeen and the AA Bowie Baysox. He spent all of 2022 at Bowie, but had a rough season, going 6-10, 6.28. He made it to AAA for the first time during the 23 season, when he combined to go 11-6, 5.16 between Bowie and the Norfolk Tides of the International League. He started 2024 with Norfolk then on May 25th was traded to Milwaukee for Aneuris Rodriguez and Thyago Vieira. He finished that year with the Nashville Sounds, then spent all of 2025 with that team, going 5-3, 5.08 in 30 games, including 15 starts.

He started 2026 with Nashville again and was back in a full-time starting role. He was 3-3, 3.45 after 15 games when he was called up to Milwaukee on June 30th, with the Brewers in the middle of a very hot streak. It took him a couple of days, and a rare poor start by ace Jacob Misiorowski, for him to get a first opportunity to pitch, as he took care of the 9th inning in a 7-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds, giving up a hit and a walk, but no runs.
