Biographical Information

Pitcher Elvis Alvarado was originally signed by the Washington Nationals in 2015, as an international amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. By the time he made his major league debut a decade later, he was with his fifth organization, having also played for the Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers, Miami Marlins and Oakland Athletics.

When he made his debut on May 9, 2025, he was now with The Athletics, based in West Sacramento, CA. His first game was a historic one, as in his two innings of work, he gave up a grand slam to Jasson Domínguez of the New York Yankees; it was his third homer of the game, and he thus became the youngest player to have a three-homer game in Yankees history.
