Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Dustin Biell played in the Tampa Bay Devil Rays/Rays system from 2007 to 2011. He was taken by the club as the first pick in the fifth round of the 2007 amateur draft, two selections ahead of outfielder Brandon Guyer and a few ahead of pitcher Jake Arrieta. He was signed by scout Paul Kirsch.

After struggling his first two campaigns, he showed improvement in 2009 by hitting .277/.362/.366 with 12 stolen bases and 34 runs scored in 59 games for the Hudson Valley Renegades. The next year, with the Bowling Green Hot Rods, he had 13 steals and 90 hits in 97 games. His career ended after he slashed .201/.279/.265 with 100 strikeouts in 268 at-bats for the Charlotte Stone Crabs in 2011.

Overall, he batted .226/.294/.303 in 343 games.
