Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Domingo González was originally signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates as an international amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic on June 13, 2018. It took him a while to reach the majors, and by that time he was playing with his third organization, the Seattle Mariners. With the Pirates, he reached AA for one game in 2022, after which he was claimed by the Atlanta Braves in the minor league portion of the 2022 Rule V Draft.

With the Braves, he spent a full season in AA with the Mississippi Braves in 2023, going 3-5, 4.19 with 1 save in 40 games. In 2024, he split his season between Mississippi and the AAA Gwinnett Stripers, finishing at 4-3, 2.91 with 9 saves in 45 games. He started the 2025 season at Gwinnett where he was 2-1, 4.29 after 35 games and was placed on waivers, only to be claimed by the Mariners on August 12th. He finished the season with the Tacoma Rainiers, where he was 1-0, 5.02 in 11 games. He started the 2026 season with tacoma after pitching for the Gigantes del Cibao in the Dominican League during the off-season. He had no decisions but an ERA of 1.80 in 12 games when he was called up to Seattle on May 11th. He made his major league debut the next day, pitching a scoreless inning to complete a 10-2 win over the Houston Astros.
