Biographical Information[edit]

Dave Valle was signed as a third round pick in the 1978 amateur draft by the Seattle Mariners and scouts Steve Ray and Bill Kearns. His brother, John Valle, was a minor league outfielder from 1972 to 1984.

Valle was a broadcaster for the Seattle Mariners from 1998 to 2008. He then worked for the MLB Network as an in-studio analyst and color commentator. Along with his duties there, he returned to the M's booth on a rotating basis along with several other former Mariners announcers to fill the spot vacated by the late Dave Niehaus. Valle and the others were on radio alongside Rick Rizzs.

Valle became a manager for the Everett AquaSox in 2014.

He has also been active with a micro-loan business in the Dominican Republic.
