Biographical Information[edit]

Darrin Paxton played in the minor leagues and for the USA national baseball team.

Paxton was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 18th round of the 1988 Amateur Draft, but he didn't sign and went to college. He represented the USA in the 1990 Baseball World Cup and 1990 Goodwill Games. The Montreal Expos picked him in the 39th round of the 1991 Amateur Draft, and he went 5-1 with a 2.01 ERA for the Jamestown Expos in 1991. He was 6-9 with a 2.99 ERA for the Albany Polecats in 1992, and he went 6-1 with a 2.88 ERA for the Burlington Bees in 1993. Paxton had a 5-3 record with a 4.34 ERA for the High Desert Mavericks in 1994, and his ERA was 3.76 in 17 games with a 4-6 record for the Harrisburg Senators. He pitched 7 games with a 1.29 ERA for the Senators in 1995, and he moved to the New York Mets. Paxton recorded a 3.89 ERA in 21 appearances for the [[ Binghamton Mets]], and he also pitched one game with the AAA Norfolk Tides and his professional career ended.
