Biographical Information[edit]

Daiki Masuda played for the Tokushima Indigo Socks from 2014 to 2015, and he was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the first round of the development phase in the 2015 NPB draft; the scout was Masahito Watanabe. He spent his first three seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he went 10-for-50 with 15 steals in 75 games in 2019. He was mainly used as a pinch-runner, and he tied Kazuki Kamizato for 5th in steals in the Central League. Masuda improved to .297/.458/.351 in 37 at-bats in 2020, and he collected 23 steals in 74 games. He was 2nd in steals, 8 behind Koji Chikamoto. Masuda went 3-for-22 in 2021, and he had a 3-for-20 record in 58 games with 11 steals in 2022. He tied Teruaki Sato and Yohei Oshima for 9th in steals. He was 3-for-10 in 2023, and he went 6-for-30 in 2024.
