Biographical Information

Daichi Moriki has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Moriki was drafted by the Hanshin Tigers in the first round of the 2021 NPB draft, and he was 4-2 with a 2.08 ERA in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2022. He debuted on August 28, and he was 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA for the top team. Moriki then went 3-4 with a 6.15 ERA in the minors in 2023, and his ERA was 11.32 in 21 appearances in 2024. He struggled again as he had a 13.81 ERA in 14 games in 2025, and the Tigers released him. Moriki signed a minor league contract with the San Diego Padres.
