Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Cody Freeman is the younger brother of major leaguer Tyler Freeman. He made his major league debut with the Texas Rangers on July 18, 2025 as a pinch-runner for DH Kyle Higashioka in the bottom of the 8th inning and came to score the first run of the game on a double by Kyle Seager three batters later. The Rangers defeated the Detroit Tigers, 2-0, in their first game after the All-Star break. He was originally drafted by Texas in the 4th round of the 2019 amateur draft and had been called up the day of his debut after hitting .315 in 79 games for the Round Rock Express in the first half of the season.
