Biographical Information

Pitcher Christian Roa was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the second round of the 2020 amateur draft from Texas A&M University. He pitched in the Reds system until the end of the 2024 season, reaching AAA in 2023.

He was claimed off waivers by the Miami Marlins on November 1, 2024 and made his major league debut with the Marlins on September 6, 2025 after spending the year with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp of the International League, for whom he went 9-2, 2.83 with 2 saves in 47 games as a reliever. In his debut, he pitched the final two innings of a 4-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies without allowing a run.
