Biographical Information[edit]

Chris Herrmann played 3B, OF, and C at Alvin Community College. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 10th round of the 2008 amateur draft, but continued on to the University of Miami. There he played mostly OF, and DH.

Hermann was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 6th round of the 2009 amateur draft and signed by scout Hector Otero. He reached the major leagues with the Twins in 2012 and also played parts of the next three seasons in the majors On defence, he split his time between catching and playing the outfield. He had the most at-bats of his stint in 2013 - 157 - when he hit .204 with 4 homers and 18 RBIs. In 2015, he hit a paltry .146 in 45 games and after the season, on November 10th, he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks for Daniel Palka.
