Biographical Information[edit]

Chris Aguila was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 3rd round of the 1997 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Wally Walker and made his pro debut that summer.

Aguila went to Japan in 2009 with the Softbank Hawks. He was their Opening Day center fielder and #6 hitter, going 0 for 4.

Aguila ended his playing career by appearing with the Philippines national team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers played in Australia in February 2016. Despite being one of their most established players (Eric Farris was the other major leaguer), he went 0 for 4 with a walk, though he did drive in two runs as they were eliminated in two games.
