Biographical Information[edit]

Chao-Tung Shih caught in the CPBL for 6 years.

Shih represented Taiwan in the 1994 World Junior Championship. He was drafted by the Sinon Bulls in the first round of the 2000 CPBL Draft, and he was 1-for-9 in 2000. As a backup catcher, Shih didn't get many chances, and he hit .213/.275/.277 in 38 games in 2001 then .203/.257/.234 in 2002. Shih played 52 games in 2003 but his batting line fell to .188/.245/.208. He improved to .238/.283/.323 in 2004, and he played a career-high 53 games. He also attended the 2004 CPBL All-Star Game, and he was 0-for-1. However, Shih only had 10 appearances in 2005, and the Bulls released him.

Overall, Shih hit .216/.267/.266 with 78 hits in 6 seasons in the CPBL.
