Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Cesar Espinal began his professional career in 2022 at 16 years old. He was signed by the Baltimore Orioles out of the Dominican Republic on June 7, 2022. On December 18, 2023, he was traded to the Kansas City Royals for pitcher Jonathan Heasley, then on April 21, 2025, he was traded as the player to be named later to the Milwaukee Brewers in a deal that originally sent outfielder Mark Canha to the Kansas City Royals. He played outside the Dominican Summer League for the first time in 2025, but had not pitched above rookie ball through the first couple months of the 2026 season.
