Biographical Information[edit]

Byrd Douglas was the coach of Vanderbilt University in 1920-1921 and Princeton University from 1928-1930 (31-45-1). In between, he was athletic director and coached football at Cumberland University. He was a lawyer in Nashville, TN from 1930-1942 and then was a judge for 21 years.

He was born in a well-to-do family from Nashville and attended Vanderbilt before moving on to Princeton. He was a star catcher at Princeton.
