Biographical Information[edit]
Buddy Bloebaum hit .281 and slugged .379 for the 1932 Cedar Rapids Bunnies, a farm team of his hometown Cincinnati Reds. He later convinced his brother-in-law Harry Rose to have his son Pete Rose switch-hit (like Bloebaum had). Bloebaum was a Reds bird dog scout and convinced the team to sign Rose when other teams were skeptical of him.
