Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Brock Selvidge was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 3rd round of the 2021 amateur draft out of a high school in Arizona. He made his professional debut that season with the FCL Yankees, appearing in 3 games. In 2022, he was again with the FCL Yankees, going 3-1, 2.95 in 11 games. In 2023, he started the season in the Florida State League with the Tampa Tarpons and finished it in the South Atlantic League with the Hudson Valley Renegades. His combined record was 8-5, 3.45 in 24 games and 127 2/3 innings. He was named a post-season All-Star in the FSL and an organizational All-Star.

In 2024, he continued his climb up the organizational ladder, spending the year in the AA Eastern League with the Somerset Patriots. He went 7-6, 4.25 in 16 starts, being named to the American League team at the 2024 Futures Game. However, he had last pitched on July 6th, and was not available to play in the Futures Game, then his season officially ended two weeks later, when he was placed on the injured list for the remainder of the season on July 23rd.
