Biographical Information[edit]
Brian Chun Ming Chung has been on the Malaysian national team.
The 17-year-old was Malaysia's second-youngest player in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games; Muhammad Aqil Harith bin Azrul Akmal was 14 months younger. His lone game was a tough assignment as he was called on to start against the Gold Medal-bound Philippines. His defense didn't help when they made an error to let John Matanguihan reach. He walked Joven Maulit, plunked both Mark Beronilla and Juan Paulo Macasaet then walked both Liam de Vera and Renato Samuel Jr. to make it 3-0. Nigel Paule hit a two-run single then Chung got Razhley Santos to hit into a double play and Cer Gio Gorpido on a grounder. After the first three batters reached in the second, Ilya Sulaiman Dali replaced him and let all three runs in, leaving Chung with a 63.00 ERA and the loss to Kennedy Torres. He did not wind up with the Games' highest ERA as Ammarshah Saidi Mohamad Soupi and Ching Kuang Chen were higher. [1]
