Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Billy Clausen played in the minor leagues from 1943 to 1945 and from 1947 to 1948, mostly in the New York Giants system (1943-45, 47), though he spent a year in the Chicago Cubs chain (1948). Perhaps his best season was 1944, when he hit .322 with 87 hits in 75 games between the Bristol Twins (58 G, .352 BA) and Richmond Colts (17 G, .217 BA).

He served with the Army in World War II.
