Biographical Information[edit]

Tall, slender Archie Corbin had an extremely long professional baseball career, pitching from 1986 to 2004. During that time, he pitched briefly in the major leagues for three teams, and was in Triple A ball for 8 years.

He played in the organizations of nine different major league teams, and also was in independent ball for a couple of years. He was primarily a starter at the beginning and end of his professional career, and primarily a reliever in between.

Archie had most of his major league innings in 1996 with the Baltimore Orioles, pitching 27 1/3 innings in 18 games with them, and posting an ERA of 2.30.

The only other major league player named Corbin had a similar full name - Archie's full name is Archie Ray Corbin, while Ray Corbin's full name is Alton Ray Corbin.
