Biographical Information[edit]
The Florida Marlins drafted Angel Flores in the 46th round of the 2003 Amateur Draft from Petra Corretser High School. Baseball Reference does not record if he played for the Marlins organization in either 2003 or 2004. From 2005-2010, Flores played in the Detroit Tigers minor league system, making just two brief appearances at the AAA level. After leaving the Tigers, he played independent ball in 2011-2014 and 2016 to conclude his career.
Flores began his coaching career as owner of the Action Force Baseball Academy which he continued to operate after rejoining professional baseball. In 2017, he served as a scouting executive for the Empire League before the Atlanta Braves hired him in September. His precise role with the Braves that year and in 2018 is unknown, though it was reported that he worked in the rookie leagues.[1] Flores worked as a coach for the GCL Braves in 2019. He was scheduled to coach the Danville Braves in 2020 before the minor league season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. He was a coach with the Rome Braves in 2021 and Mississippi Braves in 2022. Flores got his first managing gig in 2023 as skipper of the Rome Braves. After the season he was a coach for the Salt River Rafters in the Arizona Fall League. Flores continued managing in 2024-2025. He was then a coach for the Gwinnett Stripers in 2026.
