Biographical Information

Andrew Putra Soetyono has been on the Indonesian national team.

Soetyono was a backup first baseman and catcher when Indonesia won Bronze in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games. He debuted against Malaysia, taking over for Aditya Aulia Rachman at 1B after Rachman had been lifted for a pinch-runner. He hit a two-run single off Wan Nazirul Hakimi Wan Nazri his first time up. In their Bronze Medal Game win over Singapore, he drew a walk from Joshua Tam as a pinch-hitter, starting their 9th-inning comeback, then Yana Gerhana ran for him. For the Games, he was 4-for-8 with two walks, two doubles, a run and 3 RBI, handling 17 chances error-free for fine work. Only Ray Santoso (who also did not play enough to be a qualifier) had a better average or OPS for Indonesia.
