Biographical Information[edit]
Alex Amor pitched for the Spanish national team.
In the 1995 European Championship, the 23-year-old was 1-0 despite a 12.71 ERA. His win came over Andre De Wit and Belgium in the Bronze Medal Games. Only Tine Zaletel gave up more hits, runs or earned runs in the Euros that year. [1] He was 0-1 with a 15.63 ERA during the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, losing to Nicaragua's Luis Miranda. [2] He had a 0-2, 22.24 record in the 1997 Intercontinental Cup, when opponents hit .531 off him. He lost to Abel Madera of #2 Cuba and Adam Pettyjohn of the #4 US. Among those he had to face were Eric Valent, Pat Burrell, Bubba Crosby, Eric Munson, Omar Linares, Antonio Pacheco and Orestes Kindelan. [3]
