Biographical Information[edit]

Albert Campos pitched in the Colorado Rockies system from 2008 to 2011, beginning his professional career at 17 years old. In his debut campaign, 2008, he went 0-1 with a 1.56 ERA in 15 games (4 starts) for the DSL Rockies. Back with the DSL Rockies in 2009, he went 2-6 with a 4.11 ERA in 25 games (5 starts). In 2010, with the Casper Ghosts, he was 4-4 with a Pioneer League-leading 2.05 ERA in 15 starts. He also led the league in innings pitched (88), was one of just four hurlers to toss a complete game (the others were Heath Nichols, Tanner Robles and Daniel Taylor) and he tied multiple men for second in games started, behind Trey Delk's 16. He was a Post-Season All-Star and was named the league's Pitcher of the Year. In 2011, with the Asheville Tourists, he went 6-4 with a 5.19 ERA in 15 starts to finish his career.

Overall, he was 12-15 with a 3.43 ERA in 70 games (39 starts). In 259 2/3 innings, he allowed 269 hits and 62 walks (1.275 WHIP), while striking out 190 batters.
