Biographical Information[edit]

Al "Beartracks" Javery was the star of the staff on the Boston Braves in 1942 when youngster Warren Spahn came up for his first cup of coffee. Javery was a wartime pitcher who was an All-Star in 1943 and 1944, but petered out in 1945.

In 1948 he pitched for the St. Hyacinthe Saints in Canada's Provincial League.
