2025 Americas Baseball Cup

The 2025 Americas Baseball Cup is the second Americas Baseball Cup, 17 years after the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup. It was originally slated to feature the top 12 teams from the Americas (based off the WBSC Baseball World Rankings) but the USA withdrew and was replaced by Argentina, the #13 team in the Americas. The field thus consisted of  Argentina,  Brazil,  Canada,  Colombia,  Cuba,  Curaçao,  Dominican Republic,  Mexico,  Nicaragua,  Panama,  Puerto Rico and  Venezuela. It was reported in places that this would be a qualifier for the 2028 Olympics, requiring the WBSC to note that the Olympic qualifiers had not yet been determined. It was slated for November 2025 but was delayed due to a breach of contract by the event’s private promoter.
