Are you hooked on Immaculate Grid, the daily trivia game from Baseball Reference? We sure are! We’ll warn you right now—this blog post contains spoilers. But if you’re looking for a little help with today’s grid (or you already filled it out and want to know who else qualified) read on.

To fill out today’s middle-left cell, you need to choose a player who played for both the Colorado Rockies and Oakland Athletics. There were 70 players who played for both the Rockies and Athletics. Here are some examples:

Jason Giambi

MVP and 5-time All Star Jason Giambi started his MLB career with the Oakland Athletics in 1995 before leaving in 2001 for the Yankees and then returning in 2009. In his first stint with the A’s, he scored 187 home runs and led the league in doubles hit in 2001 with 47.

Kurt Abbott

Kurt Abbott played for Oakland in 1993 and 1998, while winning the World Series with the Mariners in 1997. He spent two years with the Rockies in 1998 and 1999, where in his first, he reached his highest career SLG of 0.465.

Brett Anderson

Pitcher Brett Anderson started his career with the Athletics in 2009 before moving to the Rockies for one year in 2014. He then returned to Oakland in 2018 after playing for three teams since his move from Colorado.

Jay Witasick

Jay Witasick played for seven teams as a pitcher, including in Oakland from 1996-98, 2005-06, and 2007, as well as in Colorado in 2005.

Carlos González

Outfielder Carlos González, a three-time All Star and Golden Glove winner, played for Oakland in 2008 before playing for the Rockies from 2009-18. In 2010, he led the league in hits, hits per at bats, and total bases.
