June 4, 1990: Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2nd round of the 1990 amateur draft. Player signed June 8, 1990.

August 31, 1992: Traded by the Baltimore Orioles with a player to be named later to the San Diego Padres for Craig Lefferts. The Baltimore Orioles sent Ricky Gutierrez (September 4, 1992) to the San Diego Padres to complete the trade.
