Biographical Information[edit]
Ziqi Wang played for the Beijing Tigers in the China Baseball League, and he represented China in the 2025 Asian Championship. He was 1-for-3 with 4 runs scored against Pakistan, and he also hit a double against Musharaf Khan. It was interesting that he reached base 5 different ways - hit, walk, fielder's choice, error and a hit-by-pitch. He then went 1-for-3 versus the Philippines, and he went 0-for-3 against defending champion Japan. Wang had a 2-for-4 record with 2 runs scored against South Korea, and he went 1-for-3 versus Chinese Taipei in their next game. In the Bronze Medal Game, Wang was China's starting right fielder, and he was 2-for-4, with a RBI single against Jung-min Park. China lost to South Korea in the game. He tied for 5th in the tourney in runs. [1]
