Biographical Information

Yutaka Hasebe was drafted by the Chunichi Dragons in the 5th round of the 1986 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first three seasons. He was 1-for-12 in 1990, and he went 12-for-50 in 1991. Hasebe collected 4 hits in 11 at-bats in 1992, and he only got 2 more at-bats before he announced his retirement in 1998. He then became the battery coach of the Dragons from 2004 to 2013, and he coached the KIA Tigers in 2014 and SK Wyverns in 2015. Tokai Gakuin University named him their new coach in 2024.
