Biographical Information[edit]
Yuta Sekiguchi was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the first round of the development phase in the 2007 NPB draft, and he only got 4 at-bats for the top team before the BayStars traded him with Takeharu Kato and Takahiro Matsuka to the Nippon Ham Fighters for Suguru Matsuyama, Yataro Sakamoto and Naoto Inada. Sekiguchi still didn't get many chances, and he only played 5 games before he announced his retirement in 2012. The outfielder had hit .270/.327/.401 in 310 minor league games.
