Biographical Information

Takahiro Matsuka was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the 9th round of the 2004 NPB draft, and he stayed in the minors in his first four seasons. His ERA was 4.60 in 9 games in 2009, then the BayStars traded him with Yuta Sekiguchi and Takeharu Kato to the Nippon Ham Fighters for Suguru Matsuyama, Yataro Sakamoto and Naoto Inada. Matsuka pitched 5 games in 2010, and he stayed in the minors until the Fighters released him in 2012. He then signed with the Gary SouthShore RailCats in 2013, but he allowed 3 runs in 1/3 of an inning and he was released.
