Noda played 88 games with a .236/.271/.354 batting line in 1970 after Taira Fujita had injuries, and he became the starting second baseman in 1971 after Motoo Ando was injured in June. He then coached the independent Fukui Nexus Elephants from 2008 to 2009, and he managed them from 2010 to 2011.

Overall, Noda hit .223/.266/.292 with 283 hits and 12 homers in 11 seasons in NPB.
