Biographical Information

Yomar Flande pitched in the CPBL. His cousin is former MLB pitcher Henry Sosa

Flande was a police officer in his hometown. He threw 7 2/3 shutout innings in the 2018 Caribbean Baseball Cup, winning a game for the Dominicans. He was 1/3 IP behind ERA leader Ken Ishihara. He pitched for the Toros de Sincelejo from 2019 to 2020. With his cousin Sosa’s introduction, the Fubon Guardians of the CPBL signed him in 2021. Flande had a 4.01 ERA in 26 games in 2021, but his ERA rose to 5.68 in 5 appearances in 2022. He left Taiwan after the 2022 season.

Flande's repertoire included a fastball (peak 96 mph) and forkball.

Overall, Flande was 0-3 with a 4.18 ERA, struck out 66 in 64 2/3 innings in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
