Biographical Information[edit]
Yasushi Oki was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 4th round of the 1985 NPB draft, and he was 2-for-10 in 1986. He only got 12 more at-bats for the top team, and he announced his retirement in 1990. Oki later managed the Ehime Mandarin Pirates from 2006 to 2010, and he coached the Goyang Wonders from 2012 to 2013. He was named the battery coach of the KT Wiz from 2014 to 2015, and he went to the Hanwha Eagles as their battery coach in 2016. He then coached St. Catherine University from 2018 to 2023, and he became the manager of the Fukushima RedHopes in 2024.
