Biographical Information

Yasuo Takayama signed with the Hanshin Tigers in 1942, and he was 2-for-20 in his first season. He only played 9 games in 1943, and he enlisted into the military. Takayama returned in 1946 with a .273/.356/.377 batting line in 41 games, but he didn't reach the top team in 1947 and he announced his retirement.
