Biographical Information[edit]

Yasuhiro Enoki pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 8 years.

Enoki was drafted by the Lotte Orions in the 6th round of the 1990 NPB draft, and he only got 4 appearances combined in his first three seasons. He went 7-4 with a 3.77 ERA in 1994, but he slumped to 1-3 with a 7.11 ERA in 1995. Enoki also went 4-7 with a 5.45 ERA for the Visalia Oaks in '95 season. He was 1-3 with a 3.92 ERA in 1996, and he recorded a 1.53 ERA in 9 appearances in 1997. He was then traded to the Yomiuri Giants for Shigeyori Koharazawa, but he allowed 10 runs in 4 2/3 innings in 1998. Enoki only pitched 1 2/3 innings in 1999, and he was released. The Chiba Lotte Marines signed him back, but he announced his retirement in 2000 after having a 7.50 ERA in 6 games.

Overall, Enoki was 10-12 with a 4.71 ERA, struck out 98 and pitched 189 innings in 8 seasons in NPB.

He later worked in the publicity department for the Marines, was a batting practice pitcher for them and a scout.
