Biographical Information

Yamato Fuji has played in Nippon Pro Baseball. His brother Hayato Fuji has played in the NPB minors.

Fuji was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the first round of the development phase in the 2024 NPB draft; the scout was Ken Togame. He had a 3.44 ERA in 4 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2025, and he made his NPB debut on March 28, 2026 against the Chiba Lotte Marines. Fujii allowed 5 runs without retiring a single batter in his debut game.
