Wilfred Martiszoon (Chapul)

Biographical Information[edit]

Wilfred Martiszoon played for the Netherlands Antilles national team. In the 1984 Amateur World Series, he hit .286/.286/.286 and fielded .882 in the corner outfield, but was 6-for-7 in steals, finishing second in the event, two behind Cuban legend Víctor Mesa. During the 1988 Baseball World Cup, he slipped to .211/.211/.263 with one steal in two tries, backing up Charlton Cijntije in LF and Alvaro Ascension in RF.
