Biographical Information[edit]
Walter Borland was born on February 1, 1878 in Siverly, PA and was a 1900 graduate of Allegheny College.[1] Borland was the head coach for the Louisiana State University football team from 1901 through 1903. He was head baseball coach in 1902 and 1903, posting a 10-11-1 record.[2][3] During this time, he also pitched for the Baton Rouge Red Sticks in 1903.[4]
Borland died on November 22, 1959, in Oil City, PA.[5]
