Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Wade Robinson played professionally from 2003 to 2008, peaking briefly at Triple-A. He was undrafted.

He began his career in the Houston Astros chain, hitting .306/.332/.407 with 3 home runs and 29 RBI in 58 games for the Tri-City ValleyCats his first year. With the Salem Avalanche in 2004, he tied Jon Schuerholz for the Carolina League lead in sacrifice hits with 17, and he tied Kevin Howard and Adam Seuss for second in intentional walks with 6, behind Casey Rogowski's 11. By 2005, he earned a trial in the Arizona Fall League, batting .302/.340/.419 in 43 at-bats for the Surprise Scorpions. In 2006, he reached Triple-A for the first and only time, batting .329/.365/.342 in 27 games for the Round Rock Express. He departed the Houston chain following the season, joined the Washington Nationals system for 2007, and played for the independent Shreveport Sports in 2007 and 2008. He had a .314 average for Shreveport in 2007.

Overall, Robinson hit .267/.309/.331 with 10 home runs, 188 RBI and 44 steals in 547 games over six seasons.
